Before I tell you how to find them, I will tell you purchasing tips or buying guides of cheapest notebook computers. Keep in mind that you can find brand new cheap laptop computers as well as used ones (refurbished or factory re-certified). Choice is yours depending on your budget.

1. Check the battery. Most of the cheap notebook computers are a bit old. So the battery life is may be almost over.

2. Check the warranty period. 1 year warranty is the standard for brand new notebooks. If you can get extended warranty for few more bucks then go for it.

7. Run Scandisk to detect hard drive errors.

8. Specially check the screen for minor damages. This is a common problem in old laptops.

9. Check for USB ports. It is possible that cheapest notebook computers don't have USB ports. They are essential as most of the external devices are using USB connectivity.
